Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 June 2026

This policy describes how Mosaic (mosaic-game.uk) handles data when you use the website, the installed Progressive Web App, or the Android app.

Who is responsible for this site

Mosaic is an independent project maintained by Andrzej Marczewski. You can contact us at [email protected].

Data collected

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the game - which pages are visited, how long people play, and which features are used. This helps improve the game over time.

GA4 is loaded only after you accept analytics in the consent prompt. If you decline, analytics are not collected. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means all analytics signals default to denied until you explicitly accept.

Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display adverts provided by Google AdSense to support the cost of running the site. Personalised ads are only served after you accept advertising in the consent prompt. If you decline, ads may still appear but will not be personalised.

Ad personalisation is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the AdSense partner programme policies.

Local storage

The game stores the following data in your browser's local storage, on your device only:

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for mosaic-game.uk.

Service worker cache

Mosaic uses a service worker to cache game assets so the game works offline. The cache stores only the game's own files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images). No personal data is stored in the cache.

Data we do not collect

Cookies

Mosaic itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may set cookies to measure traffic and serve advertisements. These are only active if you have consented.

You can manage cookies via your browser settings or by using the Privacy Settings option in the game menu.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights over your personal data including the right to access, correct, and erase it. Since we do not collect personal data directly (only through third-party analytics and advertising tools where you have consented), there is little we hold on your behalf.

To exercise rights over data held by Google (Analytics, AdSense), refer to Google's data and privacy controls.

For any privacy query about this site specifically, contact [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Significant changes (such as adding new data collection) will be communicated via the consent prompt in the game.
